With each passing moment, we have the ability to make a conscious choice between love and fear. The fear of the unknown or of being judged as inadequate can be a paralyzing force. I know I struggled with these feelings a lot the past few years.

And then I let go.

It’s really as simple as that. I stopped worrying about what people might think. I stopped following the safe path and started searching for the honest one. This little life we have is too damn fragile to spend a moment doing anything less than being true to yourself. And the surest way to do this is to choose love over fear.

It’s important to be selfish. You need to save yourself first if you’re going to do any good in this world. Realizing that I can be both selfish and selfless at the same time has been an extremely liberating awakening. The world needs our help. It needs all of us striving for our best selves individually so that we can collectively put our best foot forward. It starts with me. It starts with you. It starts now.

I’ve been on the road for almost four months now and each day has reassured me of the decision to go. Combining my passions of the outdoors, working with my hands, and sustainable living, I decided to spend my summer volunteering on an organic farm in Bozeman, Montana through WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms). A few weeks in to this new experience and I’m working harder than I ever have, challenging myself every day, and consistently living out my dreams.

I can elaborate on farm life at a later date but my message for now is..go do something you love! You might not dig manual labor and power tools and getting dirty in the sun all day like I do, and that’s ok! But take a second and think about something you do love. Maybe it’s that new hobby you’ve been putting off starting or that old passion you used to get lost in. Or that trip you’ve been dreaming about or the job you wish you had. Or something as small as the book you have been meaning to pick up or the phone call you think you should make.

The time is now. You have the power to live the life you want. I believe in you.

Thank you for being a part of this beautiful ride so far. Its really only just begun. Check below for some photos from the last two months before I started on the farm and stay tuned. One love.

Lakeside lunch in lovely Madison, Wisconsin

Seeing my friends Allen (vocals) and Andrew (lights) rock a sold out Chicago crowd on a Monday night. Check out their band San Fermin and their new album, Jackrabbit and see the bottom of this post for a preview of their work. Thanks to Michael for a great visit and an unforgettable evening.

Chicago scenes with my cousin Ezra Man

Cleveland Art Museum. Soothing sculptures and astounding architecture with my main man Mo.

Back home to celebrate a great friend completing a great chapter.

Remembering the simple joys of childhood

South Dakota Corn Palace. All artwork made entirely of corn. Who knew?

My brother Suraj joined me for a week of traveling and his company was a blessing. Here is our surreal primitive campground at Badlands National Park.

And here we are the next morning after waking up to a violent thunderstorm and a nearly flooded tent. All smiles with this view.

The colors in these rocks were like nothing I’ve ever seen. What a wonderful world.

We checked in on this bizarre but truly impressive work of art in South Dakota’s Black Hills.

Wyoming. Open road driving into the setting sun.

And another jaw dropping view of the sun a few days later in Boulder, Colorado

Thank you for the love. See you soon.
